That made me laugh! Personally, I only rarely had this problem on my home computers (which had XP, mind you), but on the custom-built Dell machines at school, updates caused problems all the time....

Yes and no. Windows Vista/7 are more secure than XP, but there are usability issues that drive me crazy. Still, on security compared to Linux, Windows loses.
